Sedona
July 14, 2021
The Sedona’s stucco exterior and corner quoins put the viewer in mind of a neo-classical home one might expect to find near the sun-washed Mediterranean. The entry’s Tuscan column adds a touch of classical elegance, as do gentle arches and keystones, highlighted by raised stucco trim.
Entering, you step into a naturally illuminated vaulted foyer where an arched opening feeds into a vaulted gallery with a wide closet along the right. Light spills in through an arched transom. The next hallway arch opens out into a bright and spacious vaulted living and dining room.
On the left, a multi-level home entertainment center fills most of the wall. It can easily house a large-screen TV, along with a number of other electronic components. A mess-free gas fireplace nestles into the corner next to the wide rear windows, where it offers warmth and the relaxation of flame-watching on dark nights and drab days.
The dining area and kitchen are open to each other on the right. A raised eating bar rims the work island. Counters wrap around two sides of the kitchen, which is vaulted like the rest of this roomy gathering space. It also boasts a large pantry and has a cook top built into its work island. Wide sliding glass doors in the dining room open onto a generously sized curve-edged patio.
Secondary bedrooms, a powder room, and shared bathroom are to the right of the Sedona’s foyer. The front bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and a dramatic arched window.
The den and owners’ suite are well isolated, off to the left of the living room. Owners’ suite amenities include a spa tub, walk-in closet, oversized shower, and dual vanity.
